Possibly the least writerly write club EVER, except that Siri quoted from Mrs. Dalloway (or something, I can't recall, true proof we were not on target) and I quoted from the Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot. Still, ranks among the most delicious meetings ever. Tasty. Grilled portabellas can't be denied.

i made a reference to miss havisham in "great expectations" re: that corner that is christmas over on the counter and the christmas cookies that do there dwell. but mrs. dalloway sounds more literary, more feminist, and frankly i am tempted to let that stand as record. oh god i ate so much veggie bootie after everyone left--an entire bag by myself! i think my stomach hates me today. grr.

miss havisham!
i wasn't around for that one, unfortunately, but i was around for mr. prufrock and it made my heart flutter. i am so pleased we had a successful cookout, if not a successful writersclub. we really do need to get back on track...

To whit: I have no idea what the humanoid writing assignment was. I was spacing out completely as SR elaborately described it to me. Plus, who is going to help me get a nice icon like you ladies? I need to crack this blogger.
Also, we need to beat up this librarian that was dissing writers club. He was insulting us for our small size and I was saying, "we will show you our might!" (Not unlike SLS with the mascot! She's tuff!)

i can explain the assignment, but not right now. too long. i heard you dissed it or something, b.
the only image i can get of this guy we have to beat up is THE librarian, and that is scary. let me just say that when i was visiting the brooklyn, i saw a flyer for a spelling bee and momentarily got all excited until i realized.... gross.
also...go to my flickr page for some mayday pics.
word.
