undrunken ramblings

So that last post was done under the influence of booze. Thus far I must state the highlight has been seeing some fun manuscripts at the British Library. Not the magna carta, or the rosetta stone, but the original version of alice in wonderland which was called "alice goes underground" (or something) illustrated by lewis carroll himself. also a humorous history of british kings written by jane austen when she was 15. her writing desk was also there. It was pretty excellent. There wer manuscripts by a bunch of famous british authors, as well as this wall-hung cabinet of stamps from all over the british colonies (some even on letters) which slid out sideways to be viewed. I have also seen lots of other things, and swam in a pool, and sauna-ed, and saw medical specimens, a tonsil guillotine, a medically preserved penis, and some mustelids. This ends my ramblings.
