Rem Koolhas saying ever so much more eloquently that I could why knocking down the historic in favor of the fauxstoric is stupid. (He is talking about the old east german parliment building, but could be talking about downtown milford, ct) "I think that's a painful part of it--that most historicism is realized at the expense of history." To remove the parliment, he added, "feels kind of insanely ahistorical."
In other news, I need to make a flyer for Daniel Street's new ORIGINAL TAKEOVER TUESDAYS! Beginning September 13 with Goose Lane, Puzzle People, and The Evil Queens. Continuing on September 20 with Bloarzeyd, Hygeine Wilder, and Snow Fort.
